Foursquare Day was this past Saturday and we attended the local event at Molotov on 6th Street. It was our first time at Molotov and we really enjoyed it. Nice open bar and decent prices on both drinks and beer. Dixi even won a shirt! Here's some pictures.

Anniversary Postcard - Chicago, Illinois

Dixi and I received another postcard today. This one is from Christopher in Chicago. Chris is the proprietor of two blogs. The first is Notes From Underground, which you will find over there on the right in our "Stuff We Read". He also writes movie reviews on Netflix Stream. Both are well worth checking out.

Anniversary Postcard - Sequim, Washington

Dixi and I received our first 10th Anniversary postcard today from Shannon at Sequim Daily Photo. She even place a little felt heart on the card!

The Male-Female Color Chart

Dixi has a real eye for color. She can name 32 different shades of just about any color, including black. She's tried to teach me from time to time but I've resisted even trying. Although I think I did say "fuchsia" once and she almost shed a tear. I guess she's still trying to train me after all these years.

She wasn't amused when I sent her this. Not because it outlines the difference between men and women, but because the woman is wearing cowboy boots with a skirt. Dixi doesn't like that look evidently.

Anniversary Planning Update

So our 10th wedding anniversary is coming up the end of this month and I'm trying to come up with some ideas to make it as memorable as possible for Dixi. This being the case, I'm taking her to Gruene on the 30th to see Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers at Gruene Hall. We've been huge fans since way back when they were know as the Refreshments.

I'd also like to take a moment to thank Christopher from Notes From Underground for helping to get the word out about what I'm trying to do with the postcards idea.

I don't mind spending a bit of cash on Dixi, and I do that on a regular basis. But I also prefer to do things that will be more memorable as well. So if you have any ideas, please let me know!

10th Annual Lonestar Rod & Kustom Roundup

This weekend Dixi and I went to the 10th Annual Lonestar Roundup at the Travis County Expo Center. We spent at least 5 hours wandering around admiring the 100's of cars and trucks on display.

Living Quarters, Part 2

I recently wrote about a couple in Manhattan who spent $150,000 on their "microstudio" apartment.

Well today I came across one even smaller! How about 90 square feet for just over $700 a month? I guess that's cheap by New York City standards.
